Timberline's
new SOLAR (Service Outside Link and Return) scanner system incorporates
inventory management capabilities previously found only on a company's main
computer system. SOLAR is a mathematical inventory management model that
combined with the service representative's experience and understanding of your
products and usage, will produce unparalleled inventory performance. Some of
the capabilities include:
Dynamic Model Stock
Every item in every
location has a calculated model stock - seasonally and trend adjusted for the
specific location being scanned, and updated after every scanned order.
Location or
Store Selectable
Individual location or store inventory is
segmented, by velocity, A through E, and a location selectable in-stock service
factor is defined for each inventory segment.
Stock Taking
Intelligence
In 'on-hand' mode, your service representative
enters only the quantity on hand, and the scanner calculates the appropriate
replenishment quantity.
Stock
Adjustments
If there's a question about an empty bin or
over-stock, we can simply scan the product and review last date and quantity
ordered and last date and quantity shipped, as a tool to making reordering
adjustments on the spot.
Cross-Merchandising - No Problem
Cross-merchandised programs are calculated and managed independent of the
primary fastener aisle and are shipped separately for simplified
stocking.

Transmission
Orders can be automatically uploaded into the
customer's system, after successful transmission to Timberline. A fax-back
summary includes all of the order details for your review and
recordkeeping. |
